I just asked the wife what we were going to make for dinner tonight. She said, "I feel like having Chick-fil-A."

Me: What? Fast food? Wife: A few people on a conference call today were making fun of them being closed on Sundays because of their religion. Me: So? Wife: That makes me want to get Chick-fil-A. Me: It's enough that you feel that way. Let's have the two fillets we bought. I'll start the grill. You make the asparagus and potatoes. Wife: Yeah. That sounds better.

Jesus didn't die for your asparagus and potatoes, next time your wife starts craving country fried Blasphemy you should institute a week long fast to starve the sin out

How was the filet?

LOL. She didn't actually want Chcik-fil-A as much as she was annoyed by her coworkers digs at the family who owns it. It was more of her giving them the proverbial finger.

My filet came out perfectly seared and 120 degrees. Hers was closer to 130, but that's what she prefers. She made twice-baked potatoes and pan seared asparagus. All in all a top quality meal.

Edit: Plus one for "country fried Blasphemy."

Tis a quality meal.

My go to lately has been green beans and broccoli steamed with mashed potatoes and an 8 oz sirloin steak, med rare.

If I was doing chicken I would do it just like you guys. I enjoy asparagus.

Every chick-fil-a trip you make pays for a white man to polish a nig nogs shoes.

When I go out to eat, I don't eat fast food, I eat at a local place.

Same here. I don't remember the last chain restaurant I ate at, unless you count Dairy Queen for a sundae.

Way too expensive fast food.

If you're going to get Chik-fil-a, I'd recommend the grilled chicken to minimize damage to your body. Although, their fried food in peanut oil is less harmful than the seed oils used at other places.

To be fair, they're kind of hypocrites. They refuse to be open on Sunday for religious reasons but only allow any contract work that needs to be done on the building/equipment on Sundays.

It's the equivalent of going to Golden Corral after church and criticizing people that work on Sunday.

Good to know. I don't think I've ever been to one of their locations.

They're a bit overrated. Food is okay but not worth the cost or the hype. They do seem to do a lot for employees. I personally know a single mom (Not for the normal whore reasons. Husband had passed away) that was struggling with keeping her home and her car took a shit. She was just a part time drive through cashier. They paid up her debt and bought her a used car and also worked her hours around her daughter's schooling/after school programs. So, credit where it's due.
