Damn. Use chainlink. I had coyote break thru my chicken wire twice and killed the flock. Swapped to chainlink. The coyotes still spooks them and they don't lay for a day but it's better then losing the whole flock
I've got a few places reinforced with hardware cloth, that seems to hold pretty well. This bastard ripped the chicken wire and got ahold of one of the hems but luckily wasn't strong enough to pull her all the way out so I only lost one.
Sonsabitchin' coons. Those fuckers are brutal when they kill bird livestock.
Coons are just economic hens. They boost the economy necessary for a healthy coop!
I prefer to use them to boost my compost pile.
