Literature from the developer for the new house boasted about High Speed broadband internet options. Well, this was a fucking lie.

15mbps DSL is the only option. Wireless data speed is putrid. Across the board (I’m on Verizon which the consensus says is the best provider for the area).

Royally pissed and venting. Verizon home internet, 5G this and that are not an option even though the service map showed otherwise. Same for T-Mobile.

Satellite is an option from Musk, but cost prohibitive at almost a grand for equipment.

There’s hope for fiber…..in a year or two. Fuck me. This is not good.

Investigate the possibility of a lawsuit for false advertising on the part of the seller and their representative.

In the meantime, see about using the hotspot on your phone for your laptop.

That’s what I’ll be doing but it is metered. I pay almost $90/month post pay to have a lot of hotspot data but for what I do. It burns quickly. One move is to transfer files to my phone then upload that way to not burn metered hotspot.

My speed test gave me 2mb down 770kb up. Yikes!
