It beats lung cancer.
Speculation!
Some smoke for fifty years and never develop cancer. Some never smoke but are exposed to tobacco and other smokes and die of cancer at a relatively young age. There is no doubt that smoking is a contributer to lung cancer. But contributer and cause are two very different things.
Breathing anything other than a perfectly blended combination of gasses will cause damage to the lungs. Even then time will take its toll; tissue will break down.
I'm not selling Marlboros in the '50s to cure actny, maintain a trim figure, and live like an epic cowboy. I'm just a bit drunk and think I'll put on an episode of mindless drivel and call it a night.
Yeah. Quit smoking. Nicotine gum works wonders. Vaping is also 100x better than smoking. The lung damage from vaping was from jews and chinks putting vitamin E in it to cut costs. They've stopped because they were caught.
Nicotine gum, when used as directed, damages tooth enamel and gums. It's not chewing gum. It's occasionally crushed and held between the lip and gum to deliver the drug. You might as well use tobacco packets as an alternative to chew. You're still increasing the risk of lip and jaw cancer. I will not argue against the use of nicotine gum to quit smoking. It does work for many people. All I'm saying is that I agree with OP; it's not the same.
Is breathing water vapor better than breathing smoke? It depends on what is suspended in the matrix. I'd suggest that drowning sucks as much as dehydration. Over hydrated avioli exposed to nicotine are as suseptible to disease as those inflamed by smoke.
