I was out running some errands. Had to dump some stuff.
Another guy came up with a somewhat heavy looking box he was having a hard time with. I was trying to get rid of what was in my hands and saw that it looked like he was struggling and stopped him and offered help.
He tried to refuse several times since he didn't want me to get "crud" all over myself. I'm not afraid of getting dirty to get work done. I just told him to not worry about it and lets get it done.
Afterward he said something that you probably thought was coming "Damn decent of you, not many people help each other anymore".
Though that was appreciated, what he did next was more so. I was finishing up with my own stuff which he offered to help with but I was nearly done anyway and told him not to worry about it.
He looked over, saw an older man dumping some stuff too, walked right up and said something like "let me help you with that". He said he was just repaying a kindness someone else just did for him.
Sounds unlikely maybe but this might be one of the first times I've ever seen someone "pay it forward" because I helped them out and right in front of me.
We just might make it guys.
Just White people things.
Thanks for reading this. It made my day a lot better after dealing with some stupid crap.
