Today, I received an order from Home Depot. It arrived IN THE SAME BOX as a separate item ordered from Amazon, with a different purchaser's name. WTF? Not just on the same delivery truck, together IN THE SAME BOX, with an Amazon logo on it. Has this happened to any of you? What does this mean?

Was the second item something you ordered as well?

I'd guess homeless despot uses amazon or third party vendors from amazon to fulfill some things it doesn't stock, and amazon just combined the order since it was going to the same address.

I quit buying certain things from ebay when I noticed they were just using amazon as a drop shipper, with amazon's inventory (i.e. they ordered it from amazon and had it shipped to me.)

Yeah, I ordered the second item. Ebay is known for making the buyer pay / overpay for shipping.

No it's not. Most high rated sellers offer free shipping. Amazon has bot reviews on everything. Ebay has feedback from customers, which is much more valuable than reviews from robots. Ebay sellers don't create websites with the sole intention of you clicking affiliate links... I could go on forever. Amazon is for betas. Ebay is for Alpha search engine masters...

I use Ebay vs my old lady using Amazon. My packages come faster and I have less issues with orders than she does. You have to spend a gorillion dollars on amazon or be a (((prime))) member to get free shipping. Ebay wins hands down everytime.

Ebay and Amazon use totally different search algorithms. It is much easier to find what you want on Amazon, but if you know how Ebay's search works you can find stuff pretty easy.

What does this mean?

It means you're ordering too much shit online.

Same warehouse. They are all the same entity. They all source their shit from the same places. The different store names are to give the illusion of choice.

Fulfillment centers are centralized to multiple commercial outlets, i.e., buy product digitally from any site and it probably gets fulfilled through the same place.

Hypothetically, if there was a fulfillment center that truly fulfilled you, what would it provide?

Same distribution center or something like that. I order online only when forced to, stores are half stocked now days because they want people to stay home: auto-lockdown, auto-censor and auto-surveill...
