I had a company ask for me to allow them to install a scanning application on my laptop so they could monitor (in real time) while I took a skills assessment. I told them in polite terms to fuck off.

Yep. They wanted me to download and install it, then let it run while I took the assessment, then trust them that it would delete completely after I was done.
