I've had a cold all week and one of my ears has been totally stopped up. About an hour ago, it started showing signs of wanting to clear up.

I'm thankful for this.

Stir a LITTLE vicks vapor rub into a cup of boiling water. Put your head over the cup and cover everything with a towel. Breath in through nose, also close your eyes. It will unclog everything.

Damn. I don't have any.

I have peppermint essential oil. Any chance that has similar effect??

Never tried it, but if does work bring tissues it's not pretty but you'll feel better.
