The Iranian regime's religious beliefs are goofy. But these aren't backwoods cave people, Wahabi Arabs or Taliban-esque Deobandis. Culturally and politically theyre pretty reasonable. The average Iranian outside the regime isn't even particularly religious. They just don't like jews and, don't like the US/UK for having fucked with their country and tried to pillage their oil in the past, and for fucking with their country now just because they don't like jews.
