They didn't find him until about 20 hours later, he lost control of his car on a curve on a dirt back road about dusk while rushing to pick up his girlfriend at her work. His car went into the trees and nobody noticed.

And even worse, this is my friend's 2nd son to die too young. The first drowned at about 10 years old roughly 25 years ago. He has one son left, his oldest. They are all devastated.

I pray for you, your friend and his loss. May God alleviate help heal you of your grief. Your presence for your friends and his family will be a blessing, no matter what role you give them. A shoulder, a conversation, any support. Be there for them, but also look out for yourself. Grief can sneak up on people in the worst way.

If you need an example read on/ One may feel apathetic and BOOM it hits hard. I had a close friend pass from suicide in recent years, I rushed 2 hours home to help clean up his office, clean, paint walls. When we moved the couch in his office we found more blood... when we were taking things out to burn, my friend, police chief for several years, broke down. Just being present helps everyone. Sorry for rambling on, but Godspeed. Let us know if you need to vent.
