And even worse, this is my friend's 2nd son to die too young. The first drowned at about 10 years old roughly 25 years ago. He has one son left, his oldest. They are all devastated.

Vetting heirs? Lol! I can envision a long line of girls applying for those jobs!

No one is left on my father's side. I'll probably split my estate up between cousins on my mom's side - or their kids. They seem to have the work ethic and values I have, to the best of my knowledge. That's the best I have thought of so far.
