I haven't lived in a city, town, residential area, etc. for over 30 years. I can't imagine doing so. I don't know how people do it.

My family farm is near a truck stop and rural highway. I love the silence, but that sound of a 18 wheeler rolling past at high speed every once in a while is also strangely calming.
It helps you fall asleep thinking about mundane things like who they are, what they're delivering etc.
Then I go back to the city for my other job and it's a ridiculous clownworld.
