Apparently I must have sounded like a self diagnosing hypochondriac... Walking in there saying I took a bit off my pinky. Apparently I meant to say - Reason for visit: Musculoskeletal Pain (chief complaint) Leave the diagnosis to the professionals. Diagnosis: Partial Traumatic Amputation Of Finger Through Phalanx, Initial Encounter Partial Traumatic Transphalangeal Amputation Of Unspecified Finger, Initial Encounter

If you are really curious, you can ask for your full records. Though one hospital was retarded and didn't know I could sue over them not providing them but I gave up the fight out of frustration and I'm not the type to sue. 'Honey, you don't need to see all that. It's just confusing doctor stuff!'

I have found out that I was diagnosed with hypochondria, depression and 'drug seeking behavior' as well as 'refused treatment' (for refusing to take the cholesterol and BP meds they prescribed with no blood tests'.

The hypochondria was great. I went to a doc after that one who agreed to do the test I wanted and it turned out my thyroid was essentially non functional.

I really hate 99% of doctors. I didn't have one for a very long time and have just treated myself but the lab near me started giving me a hard time about ordering bloodwork so I found a sweet doc who diagnosed me with some weord nonsense that essentially says he has no idea what is wrong so my insurance will cover any tests I ask him to order. He says he is fine with doing it as long as I run my self experiments by him. In a couple of months I will get re tested and see if I've managed to get my thyroid antibodies down with vit D and selenium.

After that I will try vanadium and chromium to see if my fasting blood sugar will go down.

Dang, hope you get sorted out. Not really curious, just thought it was funny. I hadn't even thought about pain till they asked me for 1 out of 10. Only said 5 cause I didn't want to sound smug. Pretty sure my chief complaint was that I took a half inch off of my pinky.

That pain scale was invented by those opioid dudes....gotta love how much influence big pharma has. There's also the PHQ (patient health questionnaire) that docs use to see if you "depressed" and that one is brought to you by Pfizer. If you get a certain number of points based on their crappy questions, you get put on an anti-depressant.

Right. They say they're gonna give me a tetanus shot and a local anesthetic for the finger. I tell em the tetanus shots gonna hurt more than the finger. They laugh, and say they can get me something stronger than the local. Nah I'm fine, thanks. Come back to check on me. How's the pain, do you need something stronger? I'm fine, just close up the wound already.
