It's easy to dismiss them as degenerate filth but they are White men. White men are capable of working hard, being a good provider and raising decent families. I am going to give out bottles of water to these guys and just say , hey, you ARE capable of more than what you are doing and help is out there. That's it. Not gonna become familiar with them , be a friend, just someone who tries to get them to see that they can do more

Long story about how I know some of this information but you would be surprised the amount of money they make panhandling. Between $200 to $500 a day. $200 means you're really not putting any effort in, usually just flying a chicken scratch sign. But some bleeding heart liberal faggot leaving Walmart tosses them 10 dollars a handful of times an hour. $500 and you're usually singing songs at a corner somewhere or have a sympathy dog with you.

Your pathological altruism is being exploited. You're incentivizing the problem. Short term homeless (think of someone couchsurfing for a few months until they get back on their feet) dont beg at streetcorners. Streetcorner beggars are either grifters or people who choose substance abuse and laziness over holding down a job.

I have no illusions about addiction and street people. I was an active addict for many years. I was what many would, with good reason, consider hopeless. It finally happened tho. Haven't used opiates in over 5 years. Change is possible. Just some small thing like someone telling you that you are capable of better can start someone thinking about that. You know, from small acorns mighty oaks grow

Pointing to outliers indicates a failure to grasp statistical realities. It's no different than claiming "I know a tall Chinese guy". It has no bearing on the fact that Chinese people as a class are short, and street corner beggars are choosing to ruin their lives.

They are still capable of hard work. However, that hard work is getting the money for those drugs. These guys are thieves, addicts, users, and liars. They are not to be trusted for a second.

They could do more, sure. But they won't. There is no way to understand the mind of a hard core drug addict unless you have been there. Trust me, they are gone. Save your water.
