No, it's not disingenuous to say that they tried over there just like they tried in russia for instance, they DID try to promote LGBT woke and it backfired. For different reasons. In china it failed because the CCP despite all its flaws isn't going to fall for that subversive woke garbage, so they take measures since decades to twist hollyweird's arm when need be, to begin with. And in half of africa it's mostly because they're culturally muslim, it's not because they have a high IQ it's because they're obtuse and traditionally "homophobe".

Really you should pay attentions to facts, just because they don't fit your narrative won't make them go away
