I tend to go for galas, I like them. Tasty, dependable, all the things an apple should be. She says this other variety was cheaper, asks how I feel about red delicious. Blank stare, please be joking… the apple I despise. Sure it’s red, but delicious? I beg to differ. Oh well, I’ll survive.

This time of year where I walk our dogs is littered with many different varieties of apple, blackberry, pear , damson and plum, you can guess what I'm doing in the next 2 to 3 weeks when their ready for harvesting can't you?. The apples in particular have so much taste because they aren't commercial. Many people will not pick these fruits but will go to the local supermarket and buy them, I live in a very affluent area but the logic is stupid, people don't want to be seen picking them. Obviously I just laugh at them and it's more for me and my family, win win.
