I prefer web.archive.org

and doesn't require this extra step to edit the end url.
I hate extra steps when making posts. I will solve this tomorrow because I also hate extra steps to view posts.
I hate extra steps when making posts.
Especially archiving sources ... so many still don't bother archiving before posting. I can't tell you how many dozens of times I've read a breaking article, scanned the s/new page for posts on the subject to not find it posted yet, set up the post for submission, go through the archive process, copy/pasta the archived link, finally hit submit ... only to find someone posted the same or different article on the same breaking news (with no archive) while I was preparing the post and waiting for the archive to complete. Then I have to go back and delete my post. Frustrating waste of effort.

Here is an article that was archived via archive.ph ==> https://archive.ph/o09fK
Same article using web.archive.org ==> https://web.archive.org/web/20230726124705/https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/07/npr-calls-effort-make-people-eat-bugs-right/
I'm not an expert archivist, I just started using archive within the past year here. Thanks for explaining how archive.today/... is supposed to work, I get it. To me, web.archive.org is a much better product. You say they are the same, please explain. They appear distinctly different to me; different URL, different GUI, different code, different efficiency.
