Yes it’s expensive, time consuming to learn, build, and maintain but you could grow tomatoes in the dead of winter at 75° latitude so long as you have constant power and access to water.
You can go off-grid with green house aquaponics, battery solar, a well and/or or water distillation reclamation (with a giant enough solar system), and lots of time/money. If I had millions, I’d purchase a defunct tanker ship and build a floating homestead, get towed out past international water lines and watch the world burn with my family, safely, from a distance (I think Everclear has a song on that).
They’d just get jealous and fabricate some justified way of massacring us, though.
