There's nothing wrong with getting the kids out of the house while you're doing demolition. Chances are if you'e pulling down anything that's older than 40ish, it's coated with lead paint.

Oh for sure, they were gone when I did demo. And yeah, house is about 1880. Definitely lead in the brown paint about 3 layers down. But like I said, I cleaned it all up already. She’s got herself all worked up, so I’m cleaning everything everywhere all over again.

Lead taste "sweet" so kids stick it in their mouth and stuff. The more worrying thing is asbestos or black mold IMO.

Anyhow lead is nothing a shop vac can't pick up. Probably don't even need a special filter on it.

I've seen kids at hospitals with high blood lead levels. Makes them retard and f's up their motor function. You're a good dad and a good husband.

I try. I know it’ bad stuff, especially for the young ones. She’s so much smarter and more developed than several we’ve met at her age, walking circles around them, something like 20 words she tries to say at one year… gotta take steps to protect that.
