One of the few childhood memories of my dad was fishing from a wooden bridge. I wish I could remember where it was at because I'd love to revisit it but I do recall catching more fish than him and him congratulating me on every catch. The reality was, he put me in a spot that he knew I'd catch a bunch of small fish even though they weren't anything you'd keep while he caught fish to bring home for mama to clean and cook. I have quite a few rods and would be more than happy to give one away but you can also get a decent rod from Academy for less than $20. Grab a pack of hooks for $2 and some bait, and you're good to go.
