Every time you interact with some AI chatbot, you are providing the devs with invaluable data that can be mined ad nauseam

The reason they've allowed these types of services to hit the mainstream is not because they love you. It is alos not because "science has advanced." It is because they have developed sufficiently advanced tools to manipulate and engineer the public, and now they need millions and billions of people to help train those tools.

Don't be a sheep. Stop using these online services. If you're interested, check out something like PrivateGPT, or other offline solutions.

You should absolutely use ChatGPT. Just feed it garbage. Copy and paste terrible CNN articles into it and ask it so summarize them over and over. Ask it why butter is both bad and good for you this week. Be creative.

No! You have no idea what you are doing, if you think that kind of action will screw up the models.

It will not. The amount of personal information you are providing microsoft just by opening up the chatgpt webpage is more than you can imagine.

A burner email and password hash?

browser fingerprint, geo ip location, browser history, OS type version, software installed, driver MAC addresses, etc.etc.etc.

It's unbelievable what can be extract via javascript on modern browsers.

That doesn’t do anything lol.

Never used, never gonna use.

You have a good point. I didn't think about it that way. I have used it in the past however and asked if the CDC or WHO organizations would lie to us and it failed to reply. Had some interesting conversations but I suppose it didn't really tell me what I didn't already know.

New. Trends are always ass

I'm forced to use Google Barf at work. All these things suck and trying to explain to my boss that it just makes stuff up - he seems to think that's just fine even though we are working with medical data. So dumb. It's just a trend and they can't see beyond the hype.

Same can be said for each time you walk down the street with your phone. You think they are not tracking and watching and listening to all of your behavior through that thing?

you are not wrong. I hvae called out the same in the past.

is your point that smartphones collect your data, so why not just go all the way?

I think it's more that they've already had tools like what you're afraid of for years if not decades. The last 20 yrs at least have been one long continuous psyop that's been perfectly executed. For whatever reason average people are being given access to something on a whole new level.

It'll write a business plan, write a poem,... Even if it's just doing a Google search and spitting back top results it's still impressive in how you can ask it questions and it responds. Generally it makes sense too just feels a bit off sometimes. But it works.

If I want to write a business plan, I don't do it often I haven't found good clean simple examples easily to get started. I ask ChatGPT and it spits something out in 5 sec. Compared to the hours it would have taken for me to get to that point. Obviously you refine and make it your own, make it normal. But it's a huge head start in the big picture.

"Take everything from your enemies and give them nothing." Someone

This is exactly my point. And the reason is given: the public is given access to help train the tools and gather human behavior data, to further train the tools of mass manipulation.

It’s a bad point I made but yes that’s what I was going for.

Obviously the best solution is to have that tracking be made illegal and have offenders thrown in prison.

Terrible idea. You'd be giving the government power to throw people in jail for using software.

Can it be brought to "suicide" via contradiction? That I'm curious about

Anyways, whether we feed it or not is irrelevant, it can very well feed itself just by reading us here or reading people on the internet in general

you are correct that all internet traffic can and is being scraped and fed to chatgpt.

but, you're forgetting about all the corrleating metadata that they extract when you actually visit the chatgpt website. that metadata, when tied to a conversation, specifically one that is occuring between chatgpt itself, is valuable.

I'd like to see a years worth of poal data dumped into a chatAI.

You could do it yourself with something like privategpt

Just run your own LLM locally. There's no data collection on those.

hence my recommendation for privategpt, or other offline solutions.

Ah right. That said I would also say if you are doing non-sensitive stuff it doesn't matter. I use ChatGPT for shit like asking it to translate some ugly decompiled assembly into readable C or whatever, I don't tell it political shit.

But ChatGPT is trash anyway. It's good at basic bitch stuff but if you want real tech you run it yourself and you can make stuff that ChatGPT will never be able to do, like multiple agents coordinating, "talking to" your documents privately etc., automated code generation blah blah lots of reasons to use it.

In fact one of the best ones is just to scrape shitlib data, legal documents etc and get condensed summaries out of it.

AI is a weapon and if our side decides not to use it we lose.

Never tried it, I don't even know anyone who has.
