Haven't looked in a while. Think freeze dryer started about $1,000 or so. Might be worth the investment for some folks.

Pfft, wow. Haven't looked at one in years. I'm more into cold canning. (Which is dealing with hot food and hot jars, but not cooked off in a canner.)

Bulk rice and beans in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers is way more cost effective.

You'll get sick of rice and beans but it will keep you alive.

I just ordered some of every meat they have in stock. A week ago none were available, on a side note mypatriotsupply actually has real beef and chicken now.
