When I am our VFW meeting in a very rural part of our state, we speak in hushed voices and sometimes look over our shoulders when speaking about current events. One of our guys, a Desert Storm Vet was born and raised in East Germany and he always laughs and says, oh yeah, the Stasi are listening, but they don't give a shit, so fuck them and their commie horses too."

I don't know of any other free speech platforms on the net. None. Chans would be the closest thing, but their nothing like this place. There's a sense of family here. It's not like there is much demand. We're all here. Most "people" want to be told what to think, what they can hear and say and do. They love it, they want to be slaves. If they were set free they would force someone to be their master. They ARE slaves, not in the sense of being forced into a state of servitude but deep down, like they possess a platonic essence of SLAVE. They have no souls if such a thing exists.

But that's terrible if true. Most of the people that I speak with IRL are just scared to speak due to the chilling effect which as far as I can tell Twitter basically pioneered. Slavery never went away.

Because I'm not one. I break AOU's balls all the time. I just think it's worth pointing out he still hasn't turned on his userbase and abandoned free speech. The guy who started reddit, Moot, Hotwheels, Put, Trump (kinda) and now Elon all have. It's a very consistent pattern.
