On the way home from Pennsylvania, I stopped at a gas station I normally use as my halfway point. Gas, take a leak, something to drink, etc.

The station has video screens in the pumps that play garbage like sportsball, tiktok-like things, "news," and other nonsensical crap that isn't relevant to anyone. However, I watched some of the other customers as they were pumping gas. Most were focused on that screen like it was their last link to life, rapt unmoving attention, even past the point where the pump clicked off.

It's no wonder we're in such dire straights right now. Idiots are captured by a video that has no relevance to anything. Programming is complete, I guess.

Now I feel bad. Dangit!

Just ignore it. I make a point of walking away and looking at other things while pumping, especially if the clerks can see me. That's useless in most cases, but I'm pretty sure the people behind the counter at this one are the owners.

So how would one destroy the speaker without damaging the screen? Upsidedown air can? WD40?
