We’ve set up the
Plan on moving it around the walnut orchard (about an acre), and will reinforce the sides with chicken wire that will extend from the bottom portion of the sides out in the hopes of preventing digging creature. Also plan to get game cameras and set them up to monitor and learn. Unfortunately, we have possum, skunk, fox, gopher, coyote, etc. we are fenced on the property with a pack of dogs, so keeping food gets crossed.

I'm interested in hearing more about Alumicoop. I appreciate the link. What were the factor(s) driving the decision on that specific product? I setup for our birds, and while inexpensive to setup and spacious, there are some long term drawbacks so I'm always keeping my eyes open for options to consider.

The factors driving the decision, as we did look at the geodisks, as well, were durability (we have a pack of dogs and some of them are incorrigible when it comes to wildlife lol) and other wildlife that loves chickens, the idea that it has no floor and sits right on the earth, and the ability to move it around. It was, however, not cheap. We are likely going to pick up another coop from for a rooster with some (hopefully) broody hens. We’d like to be able to have multiple generations of chickens from our own stock.
Yeah the Alumicoop is an all metal, very large chicken tractor. Looks interesting. Can the roof handle a snow load? Are you planning to move it using a small farm tractor, or just manual? I imagine it's not very light. Wheels look sturdy. Seems well made from the pics. Maybe you could consider sharing the ongoing progress in s/Prepping or s/Homesteading
