In the West, laws only impact legal citizens. Illegal? No big deal.

The consequence to being illegal is this: zero legal recourse

Illegal workers have no legal recourse, making them useful slaves. If you bring people over under some DACA-style exemption, they're not legally citizens, and I would bet money that means they aren't protected under the law in any way.

Great for republican corporate buddies to get cheap slave labor; great for democrates as a means to control a captive voting block.

Everyone is happy.
