I know you all think reddit is still good for niche forums. I haven't found this true. I've found asking a question to a general group of incredibly smart people on poal get's way better answers and quicker. On any topic.

People on reddit, even in niche forums often are dunning kruger smart. They give you the cookie cutter box advice any "main stream person" would give.

I've found this from renovating questions, to programming questions, musical / instrument questions, anything. The people on poal are way smarter and way more broadly life experienced and "renaissance men" than anything on even reddit niche forums. I gave up on Reddit after the first big 1A purge. I've tried going back to some of the nich subs but the are full of garbage. I don't think I've found anything useful from there in years.
