I've found this from renovating questions, to programming questions, musical / instrument questions, anything. The people on poal are way smarter and way more broadly life experienced and "renaissance men" than anything on even reddit niche forums.

People on reddit, even in niche forums often are dunning kruger smart. They give you the cookie cutter box advice any "main stream person" would give.

I feel the only thing we lack on here is videogames and science fiction. Other than that we're good. Tbf video games are pretty close to pozzed

I hate fps, sports, racing, and fighting games. I prefer strategy games, strategy simulation or RPG's with a good story. Unfortunately I grew up as did most. With how much some are on here they don't have time to game lol

I'm still playing ps2 games. Old school jrpgs with polygons and fmvs! Remember when FFVII came out and the cut scenes were mind blowing? Crying when Aeris dies? Hell yes. Some of the best video game music ever. I even have the ost performed by Tokyo philharmonic.

Yeah I'm getting to that point myself. With being on the road I can't have my PC here but I do have a steam deck. Isn't perfect but it gets the job done for games.love me strategy and resource management
