pretty sure it's the same dude running the entire thing. The different domains are for higher availability.

It is. That's why I said sister sites, they're all the same backend served from different places/servers

I've experienced this too but noticed it for longer (for me). Dunno, intermittently it's not as slow but generally it's pretty bad. Does your experience have just a rotating dial on a white background for a few minutes before you can even submit a link. Then you submit and the dial comes back for a bit and then finally the rows of text being processed through in green / red?
