I used to be proud of my dad for having fought in Korea in 1951. He was at the Chosin Reservoir -30* below zero when the Chinese attacked. Chesty Puller and all those other Marines could not paint a better picture than "we're advancing to the rear."

Those Marines got Dunkirked'

The Chinese beat the shit out of us in 1951. Now who wants to defend Tiawan?

Glad to hear he is still a hero to you. The old military men were men not sure what happened but now we got I don't even have a name lol. My wife's great great grandfather was injured by the mustard gas battles in ww1. He was in rainbow division. My family well they have always fought in history. All the American wars my family have fought. Again thanks to your family for fighting as well

All that our fathers have fought for is gone. America is a government controlled by insane people. They are not us. Look at Levine and Sam. Both insane and both appointed to positions of power. The only reason South Korea exists is because of our intervention. I think North Korea has a legitimate argument for unification.

...three marines entered a Buddist Temple. They shot up the alter and the decorations. A Buddist priest, an old fella, cursed them.

"One will die today. One will die soon. And one will see their first born son die before them."

Hick died that afternoon. Peterson died from injuries on the flight back to Japan. And my father, dad, went on to have 8 kids.

Ray died in a car accident at the same age our father was in Korea.

...perhaps this is tmi.
