Use to? He was a man still be. Both my real grandfather's were in Korea and my mom's adopted dad was as well. All were amazing men who were very honorable and deserve great respect. I'm thankful for all who has fought despite most of are wars were jew wars they still had honor, heart, guts and bravery

Am still. This post removed me from that ancestor worship. My dad was a badass. He took us camping on Mt. Marcy. Shot a bear. OK..OK..he didn't shoot a bear, but he could have. I love my father. Great man.

Glad to hear he is still a hero to you. The old military men were men not sure what happened but now we got I don't even have a name lol. My wife's great great grandfather was injured by the mustard gas battles in ww1. He was in rainbow division. My family well they have always fought in history. All the American wars my family have fought. Again thanks to your family for fighting as well

All that our fathers have fought for is gone. America is a government controlled by insane people. They are not us. Look at Levine and Sam. Both insane and both appointed to positions of power. The only reason South Korea exists is because of our intervention. I think North Korea has a legitimate argument for unification.

Ray died in a car accident at the same age our father was in Korea.

The thing is, he always told us about the million Chinese troops armed with sticks vs. the US Marines, the 1st Marines, retreating to the south and being evacuated by sea. Like the Brits at Dunkirk.

The thing is, Taiwan is an island. China is 100 miles away. We have a Navy that is more powerful than all the other navies in the world combined. Could they send rockets and cruise missiles and shells at Taiwan? Sure. But in order to win a war, you have to put boots on the ground and hold the territory eventually. They'd have to do an amphibious invasion that would make D-Day look like a day at the park, and China just isn't equipped to do that and take on our Navy at the same time. China does not want to directly engage the US.
