You work leather? Talk about the universe putting someone in your path. I have limited experience with leather from shop class in high school. I'm gonna make homemade recycled paper with my kids. For mother's day I want them to make leather bound books from the pages. I've already made 8.5 × 11" screens for the paper. Where's a good place to get thin leather that I can use to bind the pages. I'd like the books to obviously be projects of love, but I'm a perfectionist and want it to look good.
Tandy leather sells rolls of 2-3 Oz veg tan leather. Should he able.to get it off their website tandyleather.com Single shoulder and double shoulder are good prices. Also look to see if they habe any "economy" leather in that thickness. It's a thin leather I use for making wallets and thin straps. I live close to a tandy store so I get to shop and pick the piece before I pay. Only.downfall to buying online is sight unseen
Thank you for the info niggerfaggot. This will help a lot!
Also, any leather work you do, take some time to post it in the leatherwork sub on here. It's lonely being the only guy posting there hahaha
Absolutely! I doubt it will be in par with yours but I'll definitely post what we have done once completed.
You can always ask for advice. My stuff was really bead when I started. Just stuck with it.
