Water is a strange and interesting creature. You could spend many many years just researching it and not know it all. While RO water is usually tasty, it won’t strip minerals out like DI water which is measured in mega ohms of resistance. 18 mega ohms across a centimeter is ultra pure and will suck the chrome off a trailer hitch.
Many years ago I tried a special bottled water that was centrifuged to separate it into its factions. They claimed the water bonding angle of the hydrogen was less and therefore it hydrated better. Whatevs. It was on sale and I had an outing to a desert. I had been there before and the desert heat sucks the life out of you and hydration is difficult, conversations In the afternoon were difficult and everyone slowed down. I pulled out my discount bottled water and without thinking drank it. It felt different, it didn’t make me bloated like normal water, my faculties sharpened, and suddenly I am the smartest person at the outing. What the hell right?
Crazy stuff, but water can be awesome or terrible. It’s also the difference between winning and losing at a coffee competition. More than the coffee….
I once had a water that had a lot of metals in it to make it base instead of acidic. Basically it was a concentrate and you just needed a few drops per glass of water. If you drank that stuff you completely LIT UP.
Also I've been out in the real desert twice on two different occassions / locations in the world. I've tried to explain the need for water out there to others. It's a weird phenomenon. They never believe me. But the second you step out of the car you get hit with the knowledge you've got a counter over your head on how much time left you've got until you take a drink or you're going to start dieing.
Yup, that’s the desert. At a festival once I encountered a Russian kid, had been drinking only vodka all night. Was messed up . Took it away from him, made him stay with us and pushed water and hydration salts into him all night. He thanked us the next day, he likely would have died as soon as the sun came up.
