It's an attempt to get Moldova in the war against the Russians by baiting them. It won't work. Biden, Zelensky, and NATO are fucking morons. The rest of the region is more level headed. If Moldova were to do that the next moves would be Poland and Hungary sending in "peace keepers" into Ukraine to take back their former regions that were stolen.

It's an excuse for the US to claim "Russia is expanding". I hate to say this but Putin fucked up. He had the chance to get to Transnistria last summer and he didn't go for it. Instead he let himself get bogged down in the DPR. Ukraine should be a land locked piece of shit by now.
