Haven’t seen anyone play in the streets in a long time, even a hobo playing guitar.
Street music is something I’ll put on with my nights off for background noise.
Was also going to say all the other street musicians stopped playing on the streets during this time in the same exact fashion as me. The more miserable covid and liberal choices made everything, the less musicians you saw out on the streets.
For about a year and half there have been almost exactly zero playing out on the streets. There used to be tons at all times.

Music comes from the soul. The last few years have sucked the soul out of most.
During all the BS a neighbor kid of mine, maybe a senior in highschool or freshman in college, would set up an amp and shred the guitar while singing vocals. He did it on his porch facing out toward the street once a week for a couple hours. About 20 to 30 neighbors would be standing in the street enjoying the music and conversation. It could be heard a couple blocks away.
It was a little ray of sunshine amidst all the miserable crap we were being subjected too.
I also barbequed more in that time then I ever had in my life. There was a standing invitation every Saturday for all the cool neighbors. Got to the point where no planning occurred. Everybody just showed up at my house with beer and food unannounced.
"Lockdown" was great for me haha. What lockdown? Good times.
