I knew Harry Potter was going to be 'based' while at the same not needing to be 'culturally modified' for movie form but this is the first I've known that they are going to have to keep something out of the movie (it would take like 30 minutes to cover so it won't be hard for them).

At the end of the Harry Potter 4th book there is a kind of a confession and finding out of a lot of players. Players who have had a lot of political influence and position. Essentially in "the wizarding world" there exists also a kind of wizarding governance exactly similar to any other.

However at the end of the book we find many of those at the top, although jovial, corrupt in the blunderous way of basic human nature, above their 'paygrade' due to an extra lust for ego over brains and talent, and even going after evil and putting on a good front, were completely at the beckoning of evil if evil had a beckoning to give. And I say evil and not voldemort or one single individual because it is clear by this point that it is evil that is binding element of one side.

By the end you see that evil, by it's means of being able to do things good would not do, having the extra powers that come of it, binds the weak and cowardly to form a strong group. A group that inflitrates everything to the top. That lie to keep theirs in power of all positions when they feel the need beckoned.

This is accession of understanding of how governance really works that I haven't seen since I read Dune.

Just watched the movie. They so hardcore'dly kept out what I said they would keep out they changed the whole meaning of the story.

The movies and the books at this point are just a loose affiliation.
