Install with pip via: python3 -m pip install -U yt-dlp

Download video: yt-dlp https://youtube.com/...

Also works for twitter videos and many many other sites (bitchute, etc. etc.)

an old tutorial I did that uses a dedicated termux package. I might make a new one using the python method as it uses the latest yt-dlp which is compatible with shorts.
