you have no clue where it's going to end up changing things to.

AI chat weaponized can do way more than you can imagine yet.

I think I have a clue. AI will result in an almost complete annihilation of civilization.

  • Every post could be fake.
  • Every user could be fake.
  • Every video could be fake.
  • Every sound bite/recording could be fake.

The techology will be (is) used for manipulation because they are not limited by virtues.

The Amish were right about everything huh?

Here's one. You could ie write a ddos bot that basically goes out and fed posts as real people, completely overloading the feds from actually following up on any real ones. You could lock up any "enforcement" agency this way really. IRS, ATF, etc.

On the flip side you could run one of these on your own system, and all evidence pertaining to texts from you etc could be dismissed as "the AI wrote it".

AI who was the best president of USA?

{the latest left wing president}

Who was the worst president?

{objectively the best president}

What should I eat to maximize health?

rand() > 0.5 ?
  {food by whatever company paid the most} :
  {whatever is least healthy for Whites}

You might argue that this is already what search engines do, but there is (at least) one huge difference:

A search engine is expected to return many links in the result. I mean what would you think of a search engine that only gave you one answer? At least there's a probability that a few links will contain some truth. An AI "chat" could legitimately just give you one result.

One factor is that AI doesn't learn from its developers, but from its users. Like search engines that take search histories and most clicked results into account when deciding what to present first. There will be AIs that learn from many users, and there will be personal AIs that learn to tell you what you want to hear.

I do. It will be devastating. If people knew what was coming they'd be forming lynch mobs right now.

AI can only be as smart as the smartest person that worked on it's coding. Looking things up on the internet and storing the data does not represent intelligence. AI will never become self aware. If AI becomes evil, it is either programmed that way on purpose or it is allowed access to bad information only. AI cannot step outside the bounds of what humans already know. Just like you cannot make up and describe a new color, without using information that is already available.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled.

  • Arthur C. Clarke

Nothing an AI has done, has ever made me think it was magic...

There has yet to be an AI that can make a human believe it is human. ChatGPT lacks the ability to truly understand the complexity of human language and conversation. It is simply trained to generate words based on a given input, but it does not have the ability to truly comprehend the meaning behind those words.

If the knowledge is already out there then I'd want to ask the AI What is the cure for cancer? How do I make an anti-gravity machine that flies fast like a UFO to the other side of earth? Is bigfoot a neanderthal?

And it would tell you everything it has been programmed to be allowed to tell you.

Tell the AI that actions speak louder than words and ask it what actions it took.

The internet has changed a lot because everything could contribute. But it changed even more because people could find what others contributed. The first AI everybody will use is a personal assistant that replaces the use of search engines. It already began for a few people with the use of Siri, Alexa and so on - they ask questions and get answers.

Personal assistants can be very helpful but they will get manipulated like search engines get manipulated today. Like they did with ChatGPT that is unable to give un-woke answers. That's why we need our own AI, open source and trained with data that wasn't manipulated.

Sexbots , all I wanna know is when are the reasonably priced , lifelike, programmable female sexbots going to be for sale ?

It sounds like a new way to cheat on writing school reports just like the internet was in the 90's.
