It's genuinely driving me nuts. I cannot believe how weak these people's immune systems are. Of course "the vax the vax the vax" yes yes of course but to see it in motion, to witness just how routinely their bodies are incapable of defending themselves from flu symptoms if outstanding. I've never experienced anything so blatantly fucked up. I'm walking around work pureblooded, vitamin C'd through the roof, diet on point, exercise on point,lifestyle of health guru just to defend myself from these fuckers constantly getting ill. It's not a two-three day illness either. It's week long illness because they can't shake it off. They can't "stay at home" or they'll have no money come the end of the month, and so they walk around work, all coughing and sneezing because they can't help it.

Fucking URGH god dammit I welcome the purge.

The really sad part is that they're too stupid to make the connection. Most of them probably don't even remember it isn't normal. That's something I've noticed recently, NPCs aren't just dumb and obedient, they can't remember more than a couple years back.

Yep, same where I am.

Took me almost a month to be able to book in my car for service. When I asked one guy how come it's so busy that I can't get a spot at any shop, he said it's not any busier than usual, but they only have 1/3 of the staff working since everyone is else is sick.

Same here. All sick. When they get their booster and flu shot they are out for a week immediately after.

On one call someone actually said to me 'you must be full up to date since you are never sick!' I just pretended I didn't hear it.

No one but my old boss knows I've refused all vaccines and was willing to be 'placed on a replacement list' rather than take any of the poisons. I got a religious exemption and a lawyer and am mysteriously never ill.

Maybe they just don’t want to work and they can get away with taking as many sick days as they want.

Workplaces used to have a limit to sick days. Now it’s “don’t come in and contaminate us.” Lazy people have most definitely figured this out and are taking full advantage.

I was just commenting on another board how, after having Omicron back in December 2021, I haven't had a cold or the flu at all. I've never gone that long without a cold.

To be fair now, we have a house of four. Two old fuckers (me and hubbs) and two teenagers. The children knock whatever they have out of the park usually in a day or two. My youngest didn't this last time. Whatever it was turned into a secondary infection of bronchitis.

My husband was sick for like 6 hours and I was ill for three days, but I have like 4 comorbidities.

So when you say folks are ill for weeks and I am over here, over weight, diabetic, asthmatic, out of shape, and just barely holding onto a decent diet...but killing it in three days...I gots questions.

I eat a clementine every day after dinner and take magnesium and zinc supplements everyday as well because why not. Sure maybe "through the roof" of vitamin C is over the top but in my part of the woods it's really not that hard to eat healthy and get vitamin C. Maybe where you're from it's a task but not for me.

Anticlutch may or may not be a bot. Either way, I just regard him as the resident cocksucker. He/she/it will find a reason to disagree with anyone, anytime, on any topic. It’s never a civil, reasoned disagreement (which would be fine). It’s always coming from some shitty place and delivered with the sort of shittiness that would guarantee an asswhooping in real life.

He/she/it will create shit that’s not even there, just for the sake of dissension. It is a strange quality to be sure, but not unheard of, either.

Some people just like to talk shit and argue for the sake of it.

Usually, they’re miserable and powerless in their actual real lives, so pushing back with an overreaction in the virtual world satiates them to some extent.
