Just know this... Christianity, or being a Christian has nothing to do with religion. It's a one on one relationship. You admit that you are incapable of making it into eternity without having given your self, or selfishness over to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit then begins to change you into something that is pretty awesome. Just be willing to listen & change (repent). If you feel you need to belong to a church (religion) by all means join one that will help you on your journey, but most importantly... Stay in the word. It's a lifelong endeavor that is pretty hard to deny once you get anchored. Hope that makes sense.
There needs to be a re-interpretation of Christianity. I don't mean that it needs to be weakened to accomodate faggots and other degenerates. Just the opposite, the moral values of Christians need to be strengthened and made harsher. But what also needs to happen is a recognition that Christianity is a personal relationship between the individual living human being and the Christ, who is the mediator between humanity and the Holy Spirit. Christ enables the Holy Spirit to flow into us when we petition him through prayers. This relationship is real, and it is magical in nature. Or call it supernatural. Or trans-physical. Christians need to establish this very real, very magical union with Christ, and the churches in their current state of materialism are not enabling this personal union.
"There needs to be a re-interpretation of Christianity" I agree if Im taking this right. Its to fake now with all the weekend warriors. While Im not a Christian I dont pretend to not know whats going on.
One way to connect the story to the real world is to look up some of the New Testament locations in online maps / atlases.
I think I would be an old testament guy if at all.
