Lots of eggs on the shelf $4 for a carton of 12 large. This wasn't walmart, so not the busiest store in town.

The prices didn't seem bad compared to what I've seen others say they were going for. I don't frequently eat eggs and I couldn't tell you what the normal price is.

They were typically closer to $2 just a few years ago.

Because today $4 is only worth what $2 was worth, "a few years ago". It's not that the eggs are worth more, it's that the dollars are worth less.

Yeah I understand inflation. Funny thing is, they are not paying the farmers more for the eggs.
