Practically every aspect of pop culture I used to enjoy appears to be tainted when I revisit it. It sounds cliche and trite, but the red pill metaphor aptly conveys the phenomenon that once you see it for what it is, there is no going back. You can't reinstate your blissful ignorance. White culture was slowly and subtly subverted by unseen jews until everything that had once held White people together was replaced by some perverse, jew-owned intellectual property.

Couldn't agree more. Well said.

My favorite singers and song writers are dead people.

Looking back MTV 80's seemed to be controlled by a people I don't like and the songs you list are forgettable.

Ok 2 songs I can still listen to: Echo&The Bunny Men-Killing Moon Tears For Fears-Head Over Heels

Best fun song: Bananarama-Cruel Summer

I got sober and found God, and now I'm having to go back through and re-learn what I even like. Most of it seems to just be about being a horrible person. Maybe I'm too into lyrics.

Some of Simply Red's lyrics are nice.

If I had the sheet music I'd play it (on the saxophone). If you're talking about Holding Back the Years.

Never knew who did some of those songs. I'll check them/him out. Thanks.

I just put down the 6 string after finger picking, "Holding Back The Years," and landed on this thread. Kinda cool n a Campbellian kinda way.

What's crazy is the last time I actually listened to it I was a kid. Looking at my older self in the future. Now decades later I'm looking back, 'older', looking at my kid self looking back.

Without realizing it I found that also. Looking back it’s interesting, soo many if not all couldn’t even be made now. Comedy nearly without limits.

Back then and into the 90s, people weren't afraid to experiment and tried to think of newer and better stuff. Sure, we got some Howard the Ducks out of it, but the great stuff on the other end of the spectrum was amazing.

Now everyone copies everyone else and just tries to make something seem original within a narrow set of parameters so they can try to get the best number 1 in their field the same exact way others before them did.

Or its just nigger noise with people talking over the top of said nigger noise.

What? You don't like justin beeber's "Baby Baby". The 70's had a lot of great artist too if you liked the 90's grunge. I didn't appreciate the Doobie Brother at the time but looking back they were good and I listen to them more now. Wacky comedy movies from the 60's are the best but you can't find them anymore.

80s seem to be the peak but 70s and 90s going in and out were nearly as good. I think the reason some people think the 90s 'were the best' is because it had all of the music / movies of the 80s to go with it.

Gino Vannelli is the fucking best.

Because wild horses could not drag him away.
