Maybe it is one you already tried, but you had added a 1 to the end, or increase the 1 that was present to a 2, or added an ! after the number. I hear that is what some do that are not capable of memorizing different passwords for different sites.

Or maybe it already had a 1 and you added another 1 to make it 11 or added a 2 so it would be 12, and the next would be 123. I go through this with a relative sometimes, but they finally allowed me to set them with a more secure auto generation so they just click a button to log in anymore - or at least on most sites, I've encountered some that prevent any kind of password manager login and they require manual entry.
