They hide the disclaimer at their site and they have real news stories aside the fake news. Their intent isn't to be funny, it's to trick, deceive and fool people. People (like me) think it's real and are shocked and spread the word in good faith. I admit I only gave the site a quick glance, check the dropdowns at the top, checked out the (real) story about a dead police officer and it gave credence to the fake story and made it seem legit. I dug but not deep enough. Actual satire sites like the Bee or Onion don't also carry real news. Vancouver Times is not satire, it's a psych op. I posted in Qstorm and the mod moved it to a pedo sub and then to satire. I deleted it. This is not intended as satire. It's purpose is to desensitize people about child abuse and to discredit messengers. They make the story look real. They link to real tweets supporting it. They have it side by side with real news. Instead of saying it's satire they encourage you to repeat it as truthful. At the bottom of the article: "The mainstream media and big tech want to hide the truth. Beat them at their own game by sharing this article!" I searched for a second source and didn't see it anywhere. Instead of that being a red flag I fell for "MSM hiding the truth" because of course they do. But this time no one was carrying it because it was a lie. It wasn't satire, they outright lied and made it look real while hiding that it was "satire". This is not a joke or accident or satire gone bad or just clickbait. It's intentional. It's information warfare. I took the bait and got played into sharing it and looking foolish. Their plan worked. When / if real news comes out about high profile people, normies who were fooled will think "oh, the last news I hear about child abuse was fake, this is probably fake too". It's intentional to shape the narrative going forward and to desensitize, minimalize and trivialize the real child porn that was rampant on twitter and exposed by Elon... "Oh ya, the twitter child porn thing was 'satire' and fake news".
