I live in a desert and have so for last 5 years and do just fine. I know the importance of water in a desert fuck my wife but don't my water is the saying here. I'll never end up there Jesus ain't stirring my family that way. But it would be nice to live there secluded but unfortunately your right to be to far away is dangerous and sadly you'll be to close for enemies

Being close enough to civilisation that it's not a pain in the arse to seek help if the shit hits the fan, but far enough away that you're not being harrassed by others, is a happy medium. That's where I live, at least.
