So we don't have to deal with the clock being at 6:66 twice a day. Same goes for seconds.

The nephilim blooded were said to have 6 fingers and toes. I believe our time system comes from the sumerians. Gilgamesh was the leader of the Babylonian empire during the tower of babel. He was believed to be 1/3 nephilim and 2/3 human. So it would be safe to assume there were other nephilim blooded at that time. After all, the Canaanites were giants who had to descend from somewhere. Months are divisible by 6, the hours in a day, minutes in an hour, on down to seconds. It's 6s all the way down.

It's time to fire up the ovens!

Again with the oven myth.

Just wishful thinking. The ovens make about as much sense as the gas chambers and roller coasters.

Is this ? If so, I'll shut up.

Otherwise: no ... it's because of the dozenal system. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's because babylonians inherited a sexagesimal counting system. Base 12 and base 60 were popular because you have twelve knuckles on the fingers of one hand and can easily index them with your thumb. You can count up to groups of six of those easily by using the five digits of your other hand. That leads to all sorts of "divine math" and sacred numbers that you see show up all over ancient things.
