Daughter’s friend has thyroid removed at about 20 years old. Did the whole iodine treatment and had to quarantine for a bit with that. Super fit girl, smart, active. Now, about 7-8 years later, she has had to have surgery 3 times on her tear duct as it won’t stop leaking. That is all I know about thyroid cancer anecdotally. Otherwise, she appears to be healthy. I would surmise from that that your wife’s prognosis is good. 🤞🏻
Wow. That's pretty interesting about the tear duct. You think that is linked to the thyroid surgery? Yes wife has a good prognosis they are saying. It's a pretty large tumor but they said she is still in stage 1 so that is good. Mostly concerned with her having to be on thyroid meds for the rest of her life and how it's going to affect her. Great to hear that your daughter's friend is able to live a more or less normal active life after surgery and treatment. Appreciate it man.
