Hey guys, missed you all. Just thought I'd share my latest drama. We had major flooding last week up in the California mountains. Gust were 70 miles pr.hour. The top of a tree next to my house snapped off at 530 AM last Tuesday morning. Luckily, the wind blew the top of the tree against the side of my house instead of on my roof. I woke up to a loud thump. It was scary!

High winds again yesterday and today. Struggling to sleep. Lots of trees surround my home and the soil is still wet. Hoping another tree doesn't fall near my home tonight.

Hope everyone is well out there. 👋 again ...

I love trees. I hate them around my home.

I love trees too. However, we have too many them surrounding our home. They circle and tower over our cabin that sits high up on a small mountain. Too much rain and high winds scare the h*ll out of me. Just glad the snapped tree didn't fall on our roof!

You are very lucky

Yes. We are very lucky. Contractor who looked at it said if it landed on our house, we'd likely have a hole in our roof.

California. It's either on fire or on rain or on a cock.

But the drought that's totally real!

Lol. Our gov. Is full of sh*t!. Retainer walls looked like waterfalls. Many homes had what looked like a river of water flowing down their stairs. Roads were flooded. Mud slides were bad as well. In the last decade here, I've never seen such flooding. It was NUTS! The high winds are hazzarrdous to trees especially especially when the soil is wet. I'm lucky I still have an intact roof.

Yes. Rural areas and mountain areas with lots of trees are especially dangerous.
