I don't have any insurance, it simply costs too much and does nothing today. So today, I get this letter that tells me I may be able to get cheap insurance on the Obummercare exchanges.

I don't know if you've ever looked there, but unless you make $0 there's no cheap insurance. The cheapest thing I can find without surrendering my personal life's history is $300 a month with almost a $10,000 deductible. That's not cheap. Anyone who tells you it's a cheap place has never looked at it.

I guess they're scared they are going to lose a taxpayer or something. Well, y'all can fuck off with insurance and doctors, both are liars and scam artists.

(Sorry, it's a mess, I crumpled it up before I thought that I could post it here and make fun of it.)

Same situation here. I've been without insurance since 2005, I'm self insured so-to-speak. Fortunately I have had no significant health issues. So far I think I have had to pay the ObummerCare penalty fine only 3-4 times. My income varies dramatically on a year to year basis with $0 some years. Others have asked me why I don't enroll in ObummerCare using those $0 years as basis. I'm not a hypocrite, I never approved of ObummerCare, I want nothing to do with it as I see it as unconstitutional. And I agree, the insurance and health industry are bloated, procedural entities designed to extract every penny possible from its customers. I long for the days of the old family practitioners who charged reasonable prices. When I was a child, we had one and IIRC the average doctor visit was around $25.

I've only been without it for about 3 years now, but I did turn down some jobs during the obummacare years because I wasn't going to pay the penalty.

I think the worst annual penalty I had to paiy was around $2695. How is a federal monetary penalty for not wanting to purchase a service or product constitutional?! It's not.

John Roberts should be hanged for using his SCOTUS authority to violate our constitutional rights.

Wow. That's disturbing. I never payed into it because my $ isn't taxable income. That's a lot to pay when you aren't receiving a service.
