It won’t happen regardless of who wins. They’re the same thing, two sides of the same coin. That’s why we have endless debate over benign, meaningless shit; it polarizes us and distracts, but the topics are so ridiculous, nothing will ever get done. Cancel oil! End capitalism! Equal rights for transgenders!
It’s also why the needle keeps getting pushed. Once one level of ridiculousness is normalized (gay marriage, womens sufferage, nigger integration), the new battle ground is laid. All the while, more power is consolidated in a smaller group.
If you think the Republican party is going to change shit when they win next week. You live in a fantasy. It will be given to the masses like bread and circuses of old.
Here's a sad truth:
When politicians really want to change things, they can make it happen in a day.
When things don't get changed, but drag on the same way for months or years, it's because politicians do not really want to change them.
